Trump denies considering JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon for Treasury Secretary
Former President Donald Trump retracted on Tuesday a previous statement about potentially appointing JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon as Secretary of the Treasury, and also denied any consideration of BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) CEO Larry Fink for the position.
Axios reported late last year that Trump would consider Dimon, a Democrat, for Treasury Secretary.
“I don’t know who said it, or where it came from, perhaps the Radical Left, but I never discussed, or thought of, Jamie Dimon or Larry Fink for Secretary of the Treasury,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said in a post on his Truth Social platform.
