Google likely to unveil Pixel 9 phone, new watches and more at Made By event
Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG) is holding its annual Made By event at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, in which the tech giant is widely expected to show off several new products, including a new smartphone, watches and more.
The Mountain View, Calif.-based Google has already publicly announced the new Pixel 9 Pro smartphone, telling consumers it will be available. It has also posted images of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Both phones are expected to be packed with artificial intelligence-related offerings via its Gemini AI. Other updates that are expected include refreshed cameras, slightly tweaked sizes and potentially satellite connectivity. Apple (AAPL) introduced satellite connectivity with its iPhone 14 line in September 2022 while Samsung (OTCPK:SSNLF) did so in early 2023.
Other announcements
Aside from the Pixel 9 line, Google is expected to show off several other new products, including a new version of its Android operating system.
Android 15, which is currently in its fourth version of beta testing, is expected to offer increased privacy, updates to image search, and new camera features.
Other new products that could be announced include a new Pixel smartwatch, along with new versions of its Pixel Buds Pro headphones.
At last year’s event, Google showed off the Pixel Watch 2.
