Apple Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3 likely to come next year: analyst
- Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) annual fall product event this week saw the absence of a new version of its Apple Watch Ultra and Apple Watch SE. A widely watched analyst said the two variants are likely to come next year, though.
- “The 2025 new Apple Watch models will include the Ultra 3 and SE upgrade version,” TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
- Kuo also weighed in on the event, which was largely seen “as expected” by many on Wall Street. The lack of details and inability to determine whether Apple Intelligence provides a good user experience is a negative for the stock, making it “easy for short-term investors to take profits first,” Kuo added.
- The price of the iPhone 16 was also in the spotlight, as Kuo said keeping it steady with the iPhone 15 should “help reduce the downside risk of the stock price.” However, that fact alone is not likely to convince investors that the pricing strategy will help shipments, given that Apple Intelligence, the phone’s biggest selling price, “has not improved significantly after the launch.”
