Drivers for Amazon’s delivery partners in Queens, New York unionize

More contract drivers who work for Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) delivery partners at the ecommerce giant’s DBK4 facility in Queens, New York have formed a union with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the Teamsters said Friday.

The Teamsters said in a statement drivers across all eight of the Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners have signed authorization cards to organize with the union and are seeking recognition as one bargaining unit.

Friday’s announcement came after drivers at three of the delivery partners joined the Teamsters last week.

Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Seeking Alpha.
