Airbnb expands options for property owners to find co-hosts
Airbnb (NASDAQ:ABNB) introduced a new program on Wednesday that will allow property owners to easily find and hire the best local co-hosts to manage their Airbnb (ABNB) listings. Co-hosts are being set up to provide personalized support based on hosting needs, from listing setup to managing bookings, and communicating with guests.
Airbnb (ABNB) said it has more than 10,000 co-hosts across 10 countries. The co-hosts were highlighted as being experienced hosts with an exceptional track record on Airbnb (ABNB). They have an average rating1 of 4.86, compared to 4.62 for large property management companies.
“With the Co-Host Network, we’re taking the work out of hosting,” stated Airbnb (ABNB) CEO said Brian Chesky. “Starting today, you provide the home, and we’ll provide an exceptional co-host,” he added.
Airbnb (ABNB) also said that it made more than 50 upgrades for guests, including a more personalized app from search to booking.
Shares of Airbnb (ABNB) were up 0.7% in premarket trading as they continue to slowly recover from the recent low when Q2 earnings were released. On a year-to-date basis, Airbnb (ABNB) is down 2.1%.
