U.S. is giving Ukraine $800M to make drones, Zelenskiy says
The U.S. will provide $800 million of military support to Ukraine to make drones in an effort to strengthen its defense capabilities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday.
“Every meeting with our partners involves discussions about the defense-industrial complex,” he said in a daily address to the nation. “We need Ukraine to be able to defend its sovereignty and independence regardless of any political threats in the world.”
Zelenskiy met with U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in Kyiv.
