Apple CEO commits to more investments in China
Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) head Tim Cook has said the company will continue growing its investments in China, in a meeting with the country’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong.
Cook’s comments were reported in a ministry post on WeChat. This marked his second visit to the country, which included discussions on online data management, cloud services and Apple’s footprint in China.
In a separate local media report, Cook also said Apple (AAPL) was working on offering AI services in China, pending regulatory approval.
Apple has partnered with OpenAI for its Apple Intelligence service, which integrates the latter’s ChatGPT generative AI model. However, Apple Intelligence currently will not work for iPhone models purchased in China.
