Nvidia to supply AI processors to Reliance Industries, boost India ties: report

- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) said on Thursday that it will deepen its ties to India by supplying its artificial intelligence processors to companies in the Asian country, including Reliance Industries.
- Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang said it will provide its Blackwell line of processors for a one-gigawatt data center that Reliance is building in Gujarat, Reuters reported, citing Huang’s comments at an AI summit in Mumbai.
- Huang added that Nvidia will also offer some of its Hopper AI chips for data centers that companies such as Yotta Data Services and Tata Communications are building.
- “In the future, India is going to be the country that will export AI,” Huang said, according to the news outlet. “You have the fundamental ingredients – AI, data and AI infrastructure, and you have a large population of users.”
- Nvidia also said Tech Mahindra is the first company to use its Hindi-language AI model to create a custom AI model known as Indus 2.0. Other companies such as Infosys (INFY) and Wipro (WIT) are also using AI to train, design and deploy agents.
