Meta to add Reuters content in AI chatbot – report

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) has partnered with Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI) to bring the latter’s news content into its Meta AI chatbot, according to an Axios report citing unnamed sources.

The multi-year agreement will see Meta’s AI chatbot in the U.S. access and provide real-time news and information from Reuters in response to user prompts.

The chatbot is integrated into multiple platforms under Meta, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

Reuters will receive a payment for the access, though the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
