- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) said late on Thursday that it has named former NASA Johnson Space Center director Ellen Ochoa to its board of directors.
- Ochoa, who was the first Latina astronaut in space, is also on the board of directors
- She also serves on the boards of directors of Service Corporation International (SCI) and Mutual of America Financial Group.
- “Ellen’s extraordinary experience speaks volumes about her role as a trailblazer and a leader,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA in a statement. “We look forward to her joining NVIDIA’s board on our continuing journey to build the future of computing and AI.”
- Nvidia shares were fractionally higher in premarket trading on Friday.
