Dan Loeb’s Third Point enters Tesla, CVS, exits Uber, Verizon, among top Q3 trades
Third Point took new stakes in Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), with 400K shares, CVS Health (NYSE:CVS), with 1.58M shares, and Brookfield Corp. (NYSE:BN), with 4.73M shares, during Q3 2024, the Daniel Loeb-founded hedge fund disclosed in a 13F filing released on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the firm exited its holdings in Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ), American International Group (NYSE:AIG), Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) and Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU).
It beefed up its positions in CRH (NYSE:CRH), to 2.05M shares from 650K shares, Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), to 2.09M from 1.00M, and Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE:LYV), to 2.34M from 1.37M.
Trimmed positions include Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), to 3.7M from 5.1M, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), to 930K from 1.95M, Microsoft (MSFT), to 870K from 1.58M, and Meta Platforms (META), to 545K from 1.10M, the filing showed.
