NXP-Vanguard International JV breaks ground on Singapore plant, may expand

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the joint venture between NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:NXPI) and Vanguard International Semiconductor, said on Wednesday that it broke ground on its $7.8B plant in Singapore and is considering an expansion to further diversify the global semiconductor supply chain.
