Pfizer, Lilly CEOs have dinner at Mar-a-Lago with Trump, RFK Jr. – report
- Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) CEO Albert Bourla and Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) CEO Dave Ricks dined with President-elect Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., his nominee to run HHS, at Mar-a-Lago the evening of Dec. 4.
- A report from Axios noted that Trump “discussed how the public and private sectors can collaborate on finding cures for cancer” and other issues.
- Axios also said Steve Ubl, CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the major drug industry lobbying group, also joined.
- The meeting could provide a sigh of relief for the pharma and biotech industries who were initially worried about Trump’s pick of RFK Jr. to lead HHS given his hesitancy about vaccines. RFK Jr. has also been highly critical of the FDA.
