Barclays (NYSE:BCS) plans to roll out Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) 365 Copilot to 100,000 employees, confirming a report from late last month that the artificial intelligence offering is gaining traction among enterprises.

“Microsoft 365 Copilot will be integrated into the bank’s own colleague productivity tool, creating a single agent that enables employees to access the bank’s broad ecosystem of collaboration tools, portals and online resources all from one place, making it simpler to find information, improve productivity, and enhance employee experience,” Microsoft said.

The new AI-powered tools include an AI agent, which helps employees perform various tasks; a content search that is tailored to a user’s profile; and Colleague Front Door, an agentic dashboard accessed by Microsoft Viva.

“At Barclays, we’ve been leveraging the power of AI, and now GenAI, to drive deeper insights, improve efficiency and create more intuitive experience across the organisation,” said Barclay’s Group Chief Information Officer Craig Bright.

The large deal follows an initial deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot across 15,000 Barclays’ employees.
