A Boeing (NYSE:BA) facility in Ukraine’s capital was reportedly hit during a recent wave of Russian aerial assaults, the Financial Times reported, citing six sources familiar with the incident as well as photographs reviewed by the publication.
The strike occurred during a large-scale attack on Kyiv and other Ukrainian regions early last week, involving over 300 drones and several missiles, according to a statement by Ukraine’s Air Force on Tuesday.
Among the damaged sites was a building used by Boeing (NYSE:BA) in Kyiv, the Financial Times reported, referencing two company employees, three Ukrainian officials, and the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
Despite the damage, Boeing’s (BA) operations in Ukraine have not been disrupted, said Andriy Koryagin, deputy general director for the company’s Ukrainian operations. He noted that all staff remained safe during the assault.
A Boeing (BA) spokesperson declined to provide further details to the Financial Times but emphasized that employee safety remains the company’s top priority. No injuries were reported.
Boeing (BA) currently employs more than 1,000 people throughout Ukraine, according to the report.
Reuters was unable to independently verify the incident, and requests for comment from Boeing (BA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine had not been answered at the time of publication.
