Samsung Electronics (OTCPK:SSNLF) is holding its Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York on July 9, where the company is expected to launch its new foldable smartphones and other Galaxy devices.
The South Korean tech giant said the next-generation Galaxy devices are being reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential.
“This future is already unfolding, and the best of Galaxy AI and Samsung craftsmanship is about to be unveiled,” said the company on Tuesday.
The new product line up is expected to include the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 handsets. Samsung is also expected to unveil its latest smartwatch Galaxy Watch 8 at the event, according to a report from Bloomberg News.
Samsung is likely to highlight its Galaxy AI suite of software features too.
The event will also be streamed live from 10 a.m. ET.
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) — Samsung’s biggest smartphone rival — does not yet have a folding phone model. However, in April, it was reported that Apple decided to exclusively use OLED panels from Samsung Display for its first foldable iPhone, which is set to launch in the latter half of next year.
