Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) announced on Saturday that its Prime Day event, which ran from July 8 to July 11, was its biggest Prime Day event ever, as shoppers enjoyed billions of dollars in savings from deals spanning over 35 product categories.

The e-commerce giant extended the duration of this year’s Prime Day event from 48 to 96 hours, making the 2025 edition of its annual sales event a four-day shopping extravaganza for the first time.

“This year’s Prime Day event was bigger than any previous four-day period that included a Prime Day event, with record sales and more items sold during the four days,” the company said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, Adobe Analytics (ADBE) reported that Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) shoppers spent $24.1B via online transactions alone during this year’s Prime Day event, marking nearly 30% growth over the past year and exceeding its prior forecast of ~28% growth.

Adobe’s forecast was based on more than 1M customer visits to U.S. retail sites across 18 product categories and 100M stock-keeping units.
