Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) Chief Executive Safra Catz has emerged as the top U.S. corporate insider seller so far in 2025, unloading $2.5 billion worth of stock in the first half of the year, Bloomberg News reported Sunday, citing data from Washington Service. In the second quarter alone, Catz exercised and sold nearly 8.7 million shares, generating $1.83 billion, surpassing the $737 million Jeff Bezos cashed out during the same period. Bloomberg estimates Catz’s net worth has now reached $4 billion.
Catz’s Q2 sales, executed under a predetermined trading plan, coincided with a late-quarter market rebound following trade-related volatility. Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) granted her an additional 5 million options in June, which she exercised and sold alongside others nearing expiration.
She wasn’t alone in taking advantage of market highs. Dell Technologies (NYSE:DELL) CEO Michael Dell sold $1.22 billion worth of shares, while Bezos sold $736.7 million in Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) stock, his first sales of the year under a new trading plan that allows for up to $5 billion in disposals by May 2026.
Other high-profile sellers included Roblox (NYSE:RBLX) CEO David Baszucki ($631 million), Bain Capital’s Max de Groen via Nutanix ($421 million), Blue Owl (NYSE:OWL) co-president Michael Rees ($396 million) and AppLovin (NASDAQ:APP) director Herald Chen ($341 million).
Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) director Mark Stevens sold $288 million and has signaled plans to sell more. CVS (NYSE:CVS) board member Larry Robbins, representing Glenview Capital, sold $254 million worth of shares.
Despite the headline numbers, overall insider activity slowed from last year, with 6,000 insiders selling a combined $36 billion in Q2, down from $62 billion a year earlier, according to Bloomberg News.
