Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang praised artificial intelligence models from China’s Deepseek (DEEPSEEK), Alibaba (BABA), and Tencent (OTCPK:TCEHY) as “world class” at an exhibition in Beijing on Wednesday, calling AI a revolution in global logistics.
His comments came a day after Nvidia said it would resume sales of its H20 AI chips to China, following U.S. government assurances tied to rare earth negotiations.
Huang, on his third China visit this year, is navigating tensions between the U.S. and China as both compete in AI leadership. He emphasized China’s market as “massive, dynamic, and highly innovative,” adding that it’s crucial for American firms to have a presence there.
Huang expects swift U.S. approval for Chinese chip orders and noted “many order books are already in.” “I have been assured that the licenses will come very fast. There are many order books already in,” he added.
Orders from Chinese firms must be submitted by Nvidia to the U.S. government for clearance. According to sources, tech giants like Tencent and ByteDance are preparing applications, although ByteDance denied that.
Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) is also developing a new export-compliant chip for China called the RTX Pro GPU.
