Google (NASDAQ:GOOG)(NASDAQ:GOOGL) has added a major new client for its cloud business, as OpenAI revealed today it will use the Google Cloud Platform for ChatGPT and its application programming interface, or API.
OpenAI will continue to use several other cloud providers as well, including Microsoft (MSFT), Oracle (ORCL) and CoreWeave (CRWV).
Google’s cloud infrastructure will be utilized by OpenAI in Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, the U.K. and the U.S., according to this list of OpenAI’s sub-processors, which was updated today.
