Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) and ServiceNow (NYSE:NOW) are in advanced discussions to invest about $750 million each in Genesys Cloud Services Inc.
The $1.5 billion investment in Genesys, a maker of AI-powered software for customer contact centers, is expected to value the company at $15 billion, according to a Bloomberg report on Thursday, which cited people familiar with the matter. An announcement may come as soon as Thursday.
Genesys and its private equity owners, Permira and Hellman & Friedman declined to comment to Bloomberg. Salesforce and ServiceNow also declined to comment.
Hellman & Friedman first invested in Genesys in 2016, valuing the company at $3.8 billion at the time.
