- Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) is now the official carbonated soft drink of Manchester United at the team’s Old Trafford ground as well as events across the UK and Europe.
- The agreement extends for three years and includes all Coke products at matchday and charity events hosted by Manchester United (MANU), one of the UK’s most popular football teams.
- Average attendance at Old Trafford averages 73K during Manchester United’s regular season.
- “Coca-Cola and Manchester United are two of the world’s most iconic brands, each with a proud history of bringing people together. We are forming a partnership that will go beyond matchday refreshments at Old Trafford – creating engaging and memorable experiences that connect our fans to the club in fresh and impactful ways,” Manchester United Chief Business Officer Marc Armstrong said in a statement.
- The news did little to move the needle for either Manchester United (MANU) or Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO), both of which are trading in the red on Wednesday.
