Petrobras (PBR) said Wednesday it awarded contracts worth a combined ~1.8B reais ($328M) to cover well completion services during 2026-28 at as many as 18 development wells at the giant Buzios pre-salt field offshore Brazil, UpstreamOnline.com reported.
Petrobras (PBR) said the two contracts are designed to meet the demand for the acquisition of intelligent hydraulic completion systems.
The company recently achieved record production at Buzios, exceeding 900K bbl/day of oil via six floating production, storage and offloading vessels, with a seventh unit on its way to Brazil and is expected to enter operation at Buzios by the end of the year.
Another four FPSOs are earmarked to produce first oil by the time the service contracts with Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) and SLB (NYSE:SLB) enter force.
