Streaming service Apple TV+ (NASDAQ:AAPL) is raising its prices by 30% in the U.S., according to a report by Variety on Thursday.
The report said the service will cost $12.99 per month for U.S. customers, up $3 from $9.99.
The prices are being hiked in the U.S. and select international markets, effective starting Aug. 21 for new customers, the report said.
Apple justified the price hike by noting that it has launched a slew of TV shows and movies and that its service doesn’t include any ads, the report said.
Existing Apple TV+ subscribers will see the higher prices within 30 days of their next renewal date.
