Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) said on Friday that it will raise Xbox prices in the U.S. next month, citing “changes in the macroeconomic environment.”
“Beginning on October 3, we will update recommended retailer pricing for Xbox Series S and X consoles,” the company said in a post on its website. “Pricing for controllers and headsets will remain the same. Pricing for products in all other markets will remain the same.”
The Series S console will increase $20, with the 512 GB model going to $399.99, while the 1TB model will cost $449.99. The Series X models will rise $50, with the Digital model priced at $599.99, and the Series X model priced at $649.9. The Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition rises $70 to $799.99.
Microsoft shares rose 0.5% in late afternoon trading.
