Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is reportedly preparing to expand the roles of some top executives in response to the pending departure of longtime Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams.
Services chief Eddy Cue will gain supervision over Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) health and fitness teams, while Craig Federighi, head of software engineering, will now oversee the Apple Watch operating system, Bloomberg News reported.
This move comes as the iPhone maker is preparing to launch its new Health+ subscription service in 2026, signaling a growing focus on wellness as part of its services business.
Williams, who has steered operations since 2015, has already handed off his portfolio—including supply chain, AppleCare, and China operations—to Sabih Khan, the company’s new operating chief.
