Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) on Thursday announced several new features for its artificial intelligence chatbot, Copilot, bringing more functionality to its ubiquitous Windows 11 operating system.
Windows 11 users can now use the wake words, “Hey, Copilot” to complete a task, Microsoft said in a blog post. The feature requires users to opt-in and gives them “a new way to easily start a conversation with Copilot Voice, anytime the feature is enabled.” CEO Satya Nadella described the new feature as a way to let users “talk naturally” to their computers.
The Nadella-led company also said it was expanding Copilot Vision, a feature that can analyze content on users’ screens and answer questions related to that content, worldwide.
In addition, Microsoft said it would be launching new features for Windows 11 Insiders, adding agentic AI capabilities.
The company also provided on its Xbox-Windows gaming features, unveiling Gaming Copilot on the handheld ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X devices.
Microsoft shares rose fractionally in morning trading.
