Warner Bros Discovery (NASDAQ:WBD) will launch its new CNN subscription offering on October 28 at $6.99 per month with a special offer of $42 per year for the first year for subscribers who sign up by January 5.
CNN’s All Access will provide live and on-demand programming across multiple platforms including its mobile app and website.
The new streaming service builds on the existing CNN subscription, providing users with access to CNN’s website and exclusive content.
This is the network’s second attempt to capture the streaming audience. It’s CNN+ service debuted in 2022 but was shut down in less than a month following the merger of Warner Bros with Discovery. Low ratings and a clash between new management on how to bundle all of Warner Bros’ assets into a single streaming service ultimately doomed the stand-alone CNN+.
