Stock index futures were steady on Tuesday, as Wall Street hopes to continue its upbeat mood, while investors digested a slew of key earnings reports. Here are four stocks to watch on the day:
3M Company (MMM) shares rose 1.5% in premarket trade as the industrial conglomerate posted stronger-than-expected third-quarter earnings and revenue and raised its full-year profit forecast. The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.19 per share, a 10% increase from a year ago and well ahead of Wall Street’s consensus of $2.07.
Sea (SE) stock was up 2.5% before the opening bell as its founder, Forrest Li, reportedly told employees a trillion-dollar market capitalization—an increase of about 10 times—is possible as the Southeast Asia e-commerce leader joins tech companies globally betting on artificial intelligence for growth.
Lockheed Martin (LMT) shares rose 0.3% in premarket trade as it reported third-quarter results that exceeded Wall Street expectations for both profit and revenue. The upbeat results were driven by performance in its aeronautics and missile programs and sustained demand from U.S. and allied defense customers.
Coca-Cola (KO) stock gained 2.6% before the opening bell after beating organic sales estimates with its Q3 earnings report. Revenue was up 5.0% year-over-year to $12.5 billion for the quarter that ended on September 26. Looking ahead, Coca-Cola (KO) sees full-year organic sales growth of about 5% to 6% and EPS growth of about 3%.
