AI startup Anthropic (ANTHRO) is planning to open offices in Paris and Munich to expand its operations across Europe.
The Claude AI chatbot maker said these new hubs follow recent office openings in Tokyo, Seoul, and Bengaluru and will further grow its European footprint alongside its offices in London, Dublin, and Zurich.
The offices will serve as regional hubs for commercial growth, policy collaboration, and partnership development, according to Anthropic.
The company noted that in the past year, it has tripled the number of employees it has in the Europe, Middle East and Africa, or EMEA, region and will continue to expand its headcount with the addition of these new offices.
Anthropic added that the European workforce will span every aspect of its business, from research and engineering to sales and operations.
To jumpstart its new operations in France and Germany, the company is also partnering with local educational institutions and cultural organizations.
In total, Anthropic now has offices in 12 cities, including in San Francisco, Seattle, New York, and Washington D.C.
Anthropic said EMEA has become its fastest-growing region, with a run-rate revenue that has grown more than nine times in the past year.
The number of large EMEA business accounts — customers that each represent over $100,000 in run-rate revenue — has also grown more than 10 times over the past year, according to the company.
“With a bigger, broader, and highly specialized leadership team, we’re doubling down on sustained EMEA growth and building the team our European users need,” said Chris Ciauri, Anthropic’s managing director of International.
Anthropic said Claude is enabling enterprises like L’Oréal, BMW, SAP, Sanofi, and digital-native companies like Lovable, N26, Pigment, Qonto, and Doctolib to tackle key tasks like writing new computer programs, improving software, and resolving network issues.
Earlier this week it was reported that Anthropic (ANTHRO) raised its growth forecasts by about 13% to 28% over the next three years and expects to generate up to $70B in revenue in 2028, up from around $5B this year.
In September Anthropic raised $13B from investors at a valuation of about $183B.
Anthropic — which develops the Claude family of large language models — is backed by Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOG) Google.
