The US and UK governments are said to be close to a deal that would boost prices of prescription drugs in the UK in exchange for avoiding tariffs.
An announcement could come as soon as this week, Endpoints News reported.
US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer was in London on Monday for negotiations. Endpointsnoted that an announcement could come on or before Wednesday, as that day is when the UK government releases its autumn budget on spending for the following year.
In October, the Financial Times reported that the two governments were close to reaching a drug pricing deal.
In August, Eli Lilly (LLY) said it would dramatically raise the price of its blockbuster type 2 diabetes med Mounjaro (tirzepatide) in October.
