China’s electric vehicle industry reached a major milestone in November, with worldwide exports surging 87% year-over-year to a total of 199,836 units, according to data from China Customs.
China’s EV exports have increased, especially to Mexico and Asia, reflecting a strong demand for electric vehicles globally.
In November, China’s electric vehicle (EV) exports to Mexico increased by 2,367% year-over-year, reaching 19,344 units. Asia imported the most EVs at 110,061, a rise of 71% year-over-year, followed by Europe with 42,927 (up 63%) and Latin America and the Caribbean at 35,182 (up 283%).
Additionally, China’s exports to the European Union increased by 39% year-over-year, totaling 25,792 EVs.
