Semiconductor giants Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD (AMD) will likely be responsible for some of the biggest headlines coming out of next month’s CES conference in Las Vegas, Wedbush Securities said.
“For Nvidia and the Godfather [CEO Jensen Huang], we expect Jensen to outline the strategic vision for Nvidia’s AI strategy as now more enterprises from around the world start to recognize the volumes of use AI cases are increasing by the day across industries as the AI Revolution hits its next stage of growth,” Wedbush analysts wrote in a note to clients. “We expect Jensen to focus a lot of his keynote speech on data centers and physical AI and robotics front and center. Advancements on Nvidia Cosmos foundation model platform for accelerating the development of AI systems will be a focus for Jensen in our view while discussing autonomous technology in a key 2026-year ahead.”
In addition to showcasing robotics and automation, Nvidia is widely expected to have more announcements on gaming, content creation, simulation and more.
Huang will appear at the company’s event on Jan. 5 and at an event on Jan. 6, alongside Siemens (SIEGY) CEO Roland Busch, to talk about the industrial AI revolution. He will also appear at the Lenovo TechWorld event on Jan. 6.
In concert, AMD’s CEO Dr. Su will also make headlines of her own. She is set to deliver the opening keynote address for CES, which Wedbush analysts predicted will be “very important.” She is also expected to make some “significant” updates to the company’s Ryzen line of CPUs, the analysts added.
AMD is also set to host its own showcase at the conference, AMD Connect, where it is expected to provide updates on AI PCs, gaming, the data center, and edge AI, according to the company’s website.
AMD will also have an automotive-centric showcase, AMD Advancing Automotive, aimed at the computing needs of the automotive industry.
