Blackstone (BX) has tapped Goldman Sachs (GS) and CBRE Group (CBRE) to advise on a potential sale of its U.K. rental home business, Leaf Living,
The platform is expected to fetch about £1B ($1.3B) in a deal, according to a media report on Monday, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Leaf Living was launched in 2021 as a joint venture between Blackstone (BX) and Regis Group to manage newly-built single-family rental homes across the U.K.
The move comes shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump dealt a blow to corporate landlords, saying he will take steps to ban large institutional investors from buying single-family homes in his effort to make homes more affordable for Americans. Blackstone (BX) is a major SFH player in both the U.S. and Europe.
Blackstone (BX) did not immediately respond to Seeking Alpha’s request for comment.
