To streamline its marketing division and create a more unified marketing strategy within its entertainment, sports, and experiences businesses, Disney (DIS) has created a new enterprise marketing and brand organization, tapping Asad Ayaz as Disney’s new Chief Marketing and Brand Officer.
In his new role, Ayaz will report directly to Disney CEO Bob Iger.
“As our businesses have evolved, it’s clear that we need a company-wide role that ensures brand consistency and allows consumers today to seamlessly interact with our wonderful products and experiences. The Chief Marketing and Brand Officer role is critical for this moment,” Iger said.
Ayaz is currently Chief Brand Officer and President of Marketing for Disney+ and Disney Studios.
