U.S. clears potential $2.3B aircraft and torpedo sale to Singapore

The U.S. State Department has authorized a possible foreign military sale to Singapore covering maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, lightweight torpedoes and associated systems, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

The proposed package carries an estimated value of $2.3 billion.

The Pentagon said Boeing (BA) would serve as the lead contractor for the deal.
