Billionaire Sarath Ratanavadi’s Gulf Development Pcl, Thailand’s top power producer, is expanding into artificial intelligence through a new partnership with Alphabet Inc.’s Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) to explore joint business ventures.
Gulf Edge Co., Gulf Development’s unit, signed a strategic framework agreement with Google to provide AI infrastructure services, according to a Thai exchange filing.
The partnership aims to support Gulf Development’s transition into an AI-native technology company, it said.
The collaboration also aims to launch commercial services for enterprise (B2B) and consumer (B2C) engagement by leveraging Google’s Gemini models while simultaneously modernizing business processes through agentic AI.
