Amazon (AMZN) is laying the groundwork for a marketplace where publishers can sell content to companies offering artificial intelligence products, The Information reported, citing two sources.
Amazon Web Services has circulated slides mentioning a content marketplace ahead of a conference on Tuesday, according to the report, which cites two people who spoke with the company about the project.
In the slides shown to publishing industry executives, AWS pitched the marketplace along with its core AI tools such as Bedrock and Quick Suite.
Amazon (AMZN) has “nothing specific to share” about the report, a company spokesperson told Reuters.
The report comes as Microsoft (MSFT) recently introduced its Publisher Content Marketplace, through which publishers can license premium content into AI products.
“Publishers define licensing and usage terms, while AI builders discover and license content for specific grounding scenarios,” Microsoft (MSFT) wrote in a blog post, adding that the marketplace also provides usage-based reporting.
