The European Commission has unconditionally approved Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) acquisition of cybersecurity startup Wiz for $32B.
The Commission concluded that the transaction would raise no competition concerns in the European Economic Area, or EEA.
Last year in November, Wiz cleared a U.S. Justice Department antitrust review of its acquisition by the Google-parent.
In March 2025, Alphabet said it entered an all-cash $32B deal to acquire Wiz to boost its cloud security offerings. The deal is Google’s most expensive acquisition in its history.
