Stock index futures were largely in the green on Friday as the jobs report came in cooler than expected. Here are four stocks on watch on the day:
Samsara (IOT) shares were up 13.7% in premarket trade after the internet of things company posted fiscal second-quarter results and guidance that topped expectations. Copart (CPRT) was down 2.7% before the opening bell as it reported a mixed fourth-quarter result. GAAP EPS of $0.41 beat consensus by $0.05, and revenue of $1.12B rose 4.7% Y/Y, missing estimates by $20M. The stock had risen earlier in premarket trade but has now erased its gains.
Tesla (TSLA) stock was up 2.4% in premarket trade as a filing on Friday showed that the company has asked shareholders to approve a new performance-based pay package for CEO Elon Musk, potentially worth around $1 trillion. If fully awarded, the additional shares would raise Musk’s ownership stake in Tesla to at least 25%.
