4 stocks to watch on Thursday: INTC, F, DOW, AAL

Stock index futures inched lower on Thursday, as investors assessed Tesla’s (TSLA) earnings and the latest U.S.-China tariff updates, and awaited the September retail inflation numbers slated to come on Friday. Here are four stocks to watch on the day:

Intel (INTC) stock will be under watch as the firm reports its third-quarter results on Thursday, which will give investors an idea of whether the recent investments and strategies under CEO Lip-Bu Tan can bring the struggling chipmaker back to life. Wall Street expects the Santa Clara, California-based company to post EPS of $0.01 on revenue of $13.14 billion, implying a drop of over 1% during the quarter.

Ford (F) shares will be keenly watched on Thursday as the company will announce its Q3 earnings after the closing bell, with tariffs, EV losses, and shrinking margins back in the spotlight. The consensus EPS estimate is $0.36 (-26.5% Y/Y), and the consensus revenue estimate is $43.86B (+1.8% Y/Y). Ford is already facing $2B in tariff-related costs and $5B in losses from its electric vehicle unit this year.

Dow (DOW) stock jumped 7.1% in premarket trade after the chemical giant reported third-quarter results that beat Wall Street’s forecast for an adjusted loss but came in slightly below revenue expectations. The company posted a net loss of $0.19 a share on an adjusted basis, narrower than analysts’ projected loss of $0.30 a share.

American Airlines (AAL) shares were up 4.3% before the opening bell as it bested the consensus estimates of analysts with its third-quarter earnings report. Revenue was up 0.3% year-over-year to $13.96 billion for the quarter, nipping the consensus mark by $60 million.
