Abercrombie & Fitch to help India’s Myntra build a brick-and-mortar presence
Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) has tied up with Myntra Jabong to expand the presence of its brands and help the Indian online fashion company build a brick-and-mortar retail store presence in India, the companies said in a joint statement Wednesday.
As part of the multi-year franchise agreement, Myntra Jabong is expected to maintain regional e-commerce sites and operate branded digital storefronts with the help of third parties, among other things.
“We will apply Myntra’s fashion and tech expertise to connect Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister with the country’s thriving fashion audience and help them scale as we have done with numerous other global brands,” Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha said in a statement.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Myntra Jabong is the B2B wholesale entity of Myntra, which is part of the Walmart Group (NYSE:WMT).
