Accenture (ANC) has equipped 500,000 of its employees with generative AI skills in response to rising client demand, resulting in a surge of sales in this area to $2.6 billion in the past six months. That’s up sharply from $300 million in the initial half-year following ChatGPT’s debut in 2022.
Chief Executive Julie Sweet, speaking Tuesday in an interview on Bloomberg TV, highlighted that this rapid transformation has involved updating service offerings, delivery methods and internal operations, with a significant proportion of U.K. staff now trained in generative AI.
Professional services firms like Accenture (NYSE:ACN) are increasingly using generative AI to automate routine tasks, such as assembling presentations. The tools allow junior consultants to focus more on substantive work and mentorship opportunities, which enhances both productivity and professional development, Sweet said.
