Adobe unveils over 100 Creative Cloud features across AI, other apps at ‘Max’ event
Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) made a flurry of announcements at its Adobe MAX event in Miami, including updates to its AI powered apps.
The San Jose, Calif.-based company introduced over one 100 new Creative Cloud features, including capabilities powered by Adobe Firefly.
The company’s stock was up about 2% on Monday.
Adobe announced the general availability of Adobe GenStudio for Performance Marketing, a generative AI application for brands, for use in advertising and marketing campaigns.
With the enterprise application, which sits within Adobe GenStudio, the brands have a single, self-service application to create paid social ads, display ads, banners, and marketing emails among other things, by using pre-approved, on-brand content, the company noted.
Adobe also unveiled expanded partnerships with Google’s (GOOGL) (GOOG) Campaign Manager 360, Meta Platforms (META), Microsoft (MSFT) Advertising, Snap (SNAP) and TikTok (BDNCE), where brands will soon be able to activate campaigns across platforms and make adjustments via direct performance insights, along with integrations across Adobe Experience Cloud applications.
Firefly:
Adobe said it is expanding its Firefly family of generative AI models to video, in addition to new breakthroughs in its Image, Vector and Design models.
The company added that the Firefly Video Model, which is now in limited public beta, is the first publicly available video model designed to be safe for commercial use.
The Firefly models now have four times faster image generation and new capabilities integrated into Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express and now Premiere Pro, according to the company.
The tech giant noted that Firefly has been used to generate 13B images since March 2023 and is seeing swift adoption by leading brands and enterprises.
The company also announced beta availability of Premiere Pro’s first set of Firefly-powered video editing workflows, backed by the new Firefly Video Model (beta).
New features include Generative Extend (beta) which makes it easy for video professionals to extend clips to cover gaps in audio or video footage, smooth out transitions and hold shots longer for perfectly timed edits.
The company also announced the general availability of the next generation of Frame.io, building on its video post-production capabilities to provide metadata and asset workflows, expanding support to include photo, and design.
In addition, Adobe said that Canon, Nikon and Leica are joining Frame.io’s Camera to Cloud ecosystem, a fast and secure way to get media from the set to the people who need to work with it.
With these new additions, Frame.io now offers the industry’s broadest Camera to Cloud ecosystem, according to Adobe.
Adobe also unveiled innovations in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Photoshop introduced new features for graphic design and creative imaging including automatic image distraction removal, an all-new Generative Workspace (beta) and new 3D workflows.
Meanwhile, Illustrator’s latest features boosts core design workflows with all-new Objects on Path, Enhanced Image Trace and Generative Shape Fill (beta) powered by the Firefly Vector model.
Upskilling:
The company Adobe said it is expanding the Adobe Digital Academy’s focus to equip next-generation learners and teachers with AI literacy, content creation and digital marketing skills. The program will provide training, certifications and access to Adobe Express and intends to help 30 million people globally develop these in-demand skills by 2030.
