Aemetis, ARQ among energy and utility sector additions in Russell 3000; ESS Tech, Artesian removed

The Russell 3000 Index has released a preliminary list of additions and deletions as part of its annual reconstitution, where about 225 securities are expected to be added and 144 securities to be deleted.

The newly reconstituted indexes will take effect after the market close on June 28, 2024.

The following energy companies will be added to and deleted from the Russell 3000 Index:

• Notable additions: Aemetis (NASDAQ:AMTX).
• American Superconductor (NASDAQ:AMSC).
• Diversified Energy (OTCQX:DEC).
• Drilling Tools International (NASDAQ:DTI).
• Enerplus (NYSE:ERF).
• Notable deletions: ESS Tech (NYSE:GWH).
• FTC Solar (NASDAQ:FTCI).
• Gevo (NASDAQ:GEVO).
• KLX Energy Services (NASDAQ:KLXE).
• Maxeon Solar (NASDAQ:MAXN).

The following utility companies will be added to and deleted from the Russell 3000 Index:

• Notable additions: ARQ Inc (NASDAQ:ARQ).
• NET power (NYSE:NPWR).
• Perma-Fix Environmental Services (NASDAQ:PESI).
• Quest Resource (NASDAQ:QRHC).
• Notable deletions: Artesian Resources (NASDAQ:ARTNA).
• Li-Cycle Holdings (NYSE:LICY).
• Vertex Energy (NASDAQ:VTNR).
