Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) will integrate Nvidia’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) suite of AI development tools for ‘Physical AI’ into its cloud software platform.
Alibaba Cloud’s Platform for AI, or PAI, announced an integration of the full suite of the Nvidia Physical AI software stack.
Alibaba said at its annual Apsara developer conference that the initiative provides developers with a cloud-native platform to accelerate advancements in humanoid robotics and Physical AI solutions.
This collaboration underscores Alibaba Cloud’s commitment to driving innovation in Physical AI, equipping developers with the tools to rapidly advance breakthroughs in humanoid robotics, according to the company.
Nvidia did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
The announcement came shortly after CEO Eddie Wu disclosed plans to increase Alibaba’s investment in AI infrastructure beyond an original $50B-plus target.
Alibaba’s stock rose to its highest in nearly four years in Hong Kong. The company’s shares rose about 9% premarket on Wednesday.
