- Anthropic, the generative artificial intelligence startup backed by Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), is on track to generate $1B in revenue this year, CNBC reported.
- At $1B, growth would be roughly 1,000% year-over-year, Deidre Bosa, a reporter for the news outlet, said, citing a document she had viewed. Third-party API access is slated to account for between 60% and 75% of total revenue, she added.
- On Monday, it was reported that Anthropic is in talks to raise new funding that would value the company at $40B.
- Earlier this month, Anthropic, announced it is launching a version of its generative AI chatbot Claude geared towards large businesses.
- Amazon invested $4B into San Francisco-based Anthropic, including a $2.75B tranche that came this past March. Other investors include Google (GOOG) (GOOGL) and Salesforce (CRM).
