Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime members can now pay less for fuel at certain gas station thanks to a new offer from the ecommerce giant.
Prime members are eligible for a 10 cents per gallon discount at 7,000 BP-owned businesses (BP) including Amoco and AM/PM convenience stores after enrolling in the loyalty program Earnify.
Once enrolled, customers can get discounts at the pump by entering their phone number or linked payment method.
Amazon’s (AMZN) fuel discount is an effort to compete with rival Walmart (WMT) which offers its Walmart+ members a 10 cent per gallon discount at ExxonMobil (XOM) and Murphy (WMT) gas stations.
Next year, the program will be expanded to EV charging stations operated by BP Pulse.
