- Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime members can now pay less for fuel at certain gas station thanks to a new offer from the ecommerce giant.
- Prime members are eligible for a 10 cents per gallon discount at 7,000 BP-owned businesses (BP) including Amoco and AM/PM convenience stores after enrolling in the loyalty program Earnify.
- Once enrolled, customers can get discounts at the pump by entering their phone number or linked payment method.
- Amazon’s (AMZN) fuel discount is an effort to compete with rival Walmart (WMT) which offers its Walmart+ members a 10 cent per gallon discount at ExxonMobil (XOM) and Murphy (WMT) gas stations.
- Next year, the program will be expanded to EV charging stations operated by BP Pulse.
