AMD (AMD) CEO Dr. Lisa Su is set to meet Samsung’s (SSNLF) Chairman Jay Lee in South Korea next week in an attempt to secure highly-sought-after high-bandwidth memory for use in artificial intelligence chips, South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper said.
Dr. Su is also set to meet with Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, the news outlet added, citing its sources.
AMD shares rose fractionally in premarket trading on Wednesday.
AMD and Samsung did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Seeking Alpha.
