Anthropic (ANTHRO) unveiled plans today to build out $50B in artificial intelligence-related infrastructure in the U.S.
As part of the plan, the AI company is building data centers with Fluidstack in Texas and New York, and it expects more sites will be built.
“We’re getting closer to AI that can accelerate scientific discovery and help solve complex problems in ways that weren’t possible before,” said Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic. “Realizing that potential requires infrastructure that can support continued development at the frontier. These sites will help us build more capable AI systems that can drive those breakthroughs, while creating American jobs.”
Anthropic is the creator of the Claude series of large language models. It is backed by tech giants such as Amazon (AMZN) and Google (GOOG)(GOOGL). Anthropic notes the high demand related to its Claude models prompted the need for this $50B investment, which also supports the Trump Administration’s AI Action Plan.
